Hello Reader,
Someone in my family fell seriously ill and was hospitalised this week, so plans went slightly askew. Things are stable now, so all is good.
I'll keep things brief today.
Anyway, I was in Johor on Monday for a milestone celebration of Racks Central, which is building a 510MW AI data centre campus in Johor. You can read about it below.
Around Thursday, access to Fable 5 was restored. The greatly reduced free usage aside, I believe it heralds a new era of using AI: as it becomes useful, AI providers will start charging substantially more.
This means users will need to be more conscious about keeping costs down, including using other lower-cost models. Interestingly, Fable 5 is also very good at managing less capable AI models as sub-agents.
And for what it's worth, I do find Fable genuinely better for complex tasks that Opus tends to miss.
Talk more next week.
Regards,
Paul Mah
